Not yet...I do remember Grace Jones' cover of Breakdown, though...it was bloody awful!!!

I'm not a huge fan of Melissa Etheridge, but I kinda liked it. Then again she didn't change it too much...so there ya go! Thanks for the link.

Wow! Kinda like that! As I'm listening it strikes me that this is just plain a terrific song - perfect combination of words and music.

Not a huge Melissa fan, though as far as female singers think she's about as good as you get! Nice to have such a reputable singer cover this great song. . .

Thank you. I thought I was the only one who had that opinion. That was just plain awful. Why mess with a perfect song.

She's good. The songs listenable, not badly done actually.
But it ain't Tom.

I had listened to this awhile ago...everytime I hear it I like it more. I like how shes put more of a dark undertone to the song. She does covers good like tom does....she doesn't change it to much but she adds a little bit of her own style and it works!.

Also VERY glad to hear she is cancer free now!!!!! Melissa rocks!

Well, usually if I love the original I hate the cover, but I actually really enjoyed Melissa's version. She did a good job!

I am so happy that Melissa Etheridge covered Refugee. It's amazing to find listen hear the lyrics. Thanks Melissa for lending a voice to a song and finally making it a good one.
