I "booed" too after seeing her last night during half time. TP was much better the night before.

Is anyone on this board old enough to remember when Marianne Faithfull appeared on SNL in 1979? She admitted later she was not happy with her own performance..her voice was shot that night...but AT LEAST it was HER voice, and she did not lip sync! She will outlast all these little poptarts, allright!

I'm old enough, but I don't remember. I only stayed up late enough to see the musical act if it was someone I knew. Guess I wasn't too clued in as a kid. SNL was most well known (around here anyway) for its wild comedy and funny skits. After Steve Martin's wild and cra-zy guh, and Chevy Chase falling down like President Ford, it was usually time for bed. No VCRs back then, and no one at that time lip synched! Went out with the Ed Sullivan and Bandstand days. Any lip synchers were automatic frauds who did not know their craft or give the public what they came to see.
