Are you getting Windows 7?

No, my computer doesn't support it.

While recuperating from operation Bart installed on my computer now the driver for my printer isn’t working; any suggestions? Oh, computer seems to bootup faster and web pages, apps also seem to load faster Cool

What model of printer you have? There might be an updated driver online. If the printer's relatively recent, there should be a driver coming out within the next couple months. If your printer is really so old that they won't bother, I'd recommend getting a new one. lol

Also, IIRC, there should be a generic one. But it will only print text.

Thanks Aimee. It's a HP Deskjet D4160 and would say it's 1 1/2 to 2 years old and think Bart already would have checked online so hopefully it will be out in the next couple of months but I want my printer NOW. Mad

Did you check to make sure the correct printer is selected in the print queue?

Yeah guess that's part of the problem, it's just not there! Under ‘Printers and Faxes’ my computer doesn’t even see the printer, Bart says he’s rebooted, checked wires, we haven’t gotten new driver off of the Internet yet wonder if we need to download a new driver? Bart’s gonna hook the printer up to another computer tomorrow and see what happens, printer was working fine till Windows 7 though…..hum-m-m-m-m. I’m having a hard time getting use to my toolbars disappearing in Explorer but all-in-all Internet viewing of multiple windows is faster but need to find where to keep ‘Task’ bar from going by-by too....Think I’m a guinea pig Red Face

Sometimes they're solved by ... this method that I don't know the name for. Turn off the printer, unplug it, plug it back in, turn it back on.

Also use the same method when the router is acting funny, except that I turn it off, wait a few seconds, turn it back on.
