I was asked to feature this here to help people find stuff on the BBS and to cut down on repetitious posts...

Thanks, Sean. I always use this feature when looking for old threads that have since gone far, far away into the deepest bowels of this site.

For those who were not in on previous discussions, the key word would be "touring", which brings up 1,441 matches. Certainly, people cannot be expected to sort through 1,441 matches to find what they are looking for. Thanx for the info jam.

Then you need to refine your search and try searching for more than one generic word such as "touring". I searched for "last tour" and one of the previous threads about this topic popped up on the first page. Threads are arranged by date. Since I know this is recent news I can narrow my search by date and not look at the threads from 2005, 04, etc. Easy to find even tho I got over 2800 matches.

I would expect people to atleast make an attempt to search for the answer before posting yet another thread - I believe this is the 3rd or 4th time this particular question has been asked.

You know what we need here - A FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)

I don't know if it would be kosher or not but I think several people (myself included) would be more than happy to draft a document answering some of the most repetative questions such as:

1 - "Are TP&HB really retiring"

2 - "How do you download a torrent"

3 - "Who the heck is this Yoakum character?"

Sean should just post a RIDICULOUSLY FAQ thread. It would look something like this:

NO - this is not Tom's last tour.
NO - he will not sing at your wedding. (Nor can you get married onstage at one of his concerts)
NO - there is no fan mail address/ way to send Tom a Christmas card.
NO - you cannot go backstage.
YES - people sill do ask these things on here.
