This is my own chain/fluff thread, where I collect horribly hateful things lefties say here.

We'll start with...

I'd love to have you thrown off this board make no doubt about it

Who the fuck are you, his BITCH? Sure seems like it, with you brown nosing him all over the board. "Why are you mad at me? I agree with EVERYTHING you say." I see you doing this all over the board. Except for when you two are bitching at each other over who is the biggest troll, you or him. Are you so desperate for a pal, or a sweetheart, or any attention?

There is much more out there to be read other then what I quoted. All of this stuff is just from recent posts on this board. If I go back to the last two years or so, I'm sure we can turn this thread into one big interesting read.

It's amazing that the same people who post these things here, have the gall to call other board members hateful.

...and you've been nothing but kind to me, right, Donnie?

No, you've been hateful and insulting for more than a year.

Donnie doesn't seem to understand that the majority at this board don't like him but a 'slug' we can all understand! Smile

Just because I question something you say, it doesn't make me hateful. I was pretty mean toward you when you lied about me though.

A more pertinent question would be:

Why does a right-wing extremist start anti-liberal thread after thread after thread, and then act shocked and wounded when he incurs the wrath of liberals?

I'm not shocked or wounded.

This thread is about one thing. Pointing out the direct, nasty, hateful tone of the very people who label everyone who disagrees with them the same thing they do themselves.

You misquoted me, "Nice Guy". I said "right-wing extremist", because your attitudes are extreme. You refer to liberals and our President as Marxists, Socialists, Nazis, and akin to Hitler. These are extremist views, not reasonable, conservative views.

Where on earth did you find that last part, starting with, "Who the fuck are you his bitch?"

I wrote the funny stuff about Joe Wilson getting his teabag all fluffed, not the weirdo accusatory paragraph you have attributed to me.

Which makes your post ... quite ...lame.

I'm extreme because I'm pointing out hateful comments by lefties who post here? At least I quote the hateful comments and link them, unlike a few others who just cry and whine and never bother backing up why they actually think people who disagree are being hateful.

When did I ever call liberals or our President a Nazi? Sure I called Hitler a left wing Darwinist, and explained his socialist views. But does that mean I think Obama is a Nazi? Of course not. That's ridiculous.

I do see a correlation between modern liberalism and statism though. If you'd like I can start a thread on that if you want to discuss it.

That wasn't you...so I apologize. I've been saving quotes as they come and when I copied them to the board I must have copied them in the wrong place.

Back in my grade school days (many, many years ago) there was a kid who everyone picked on. It got to the point where I felt forced to defend him when he got pushed around.

Over time, I learned that many times there are certain people who for whatever reason need people to pick on them. Maybe they feel it's the only real attention they can get, I'm not sure. I'm beginning to think Donnie is this sort of person.

If he truly wanted the "hateful" comments to stop, one way would have been to simply not to start a thread like this, one that basically invites those who "persecute" him to defend themselves ie. take more shots at him.

I don't hate anyone on this board, including him. Hate does nothing but divide people. We all joined this board for one reason, we all care for Tom Petty's music. Lets build on what is common to us all. Lets all be civil to one another.

I understand that some of Donnie's comments are incendiary, comparing liberals to Hitler etc. but consider why he does it. When you attack in kind (or in the first place) you stoop to that level. It allows him to create a thread of you attacking him.

The bottom line is that the response of a reasoned, rational adult to someone calling them names and insulting them isn't to respond in kind. It's either to try to educate and that failing, ignoring.

I'm at the age now where if someone says they have acid, I assume they're talking about reflux.

In other words, allow Donnie to say any damn thing he wants. We should all be good little vicims and just take whatever he wants to dish out.

I don't think so....

They are words on a Message board. The only way they diminish you is if you stoop to that level. I'm not saying don't respond if you feel you need to. However, try to rise above the kind of responses that engage in name calling. Nobody wins those kind of arguments, both sides lose. Make your point and move on. I have a feeling you realize you're not going to change Donnie. So instead change the way you respond to him.

You're absolutely right, Iffy. I've said the same to others, myself. Yet I often forget to take the advice. Too often...on this board...I allow my emotions to override my reason. It's not worth it.

Damn Donnie.

You are wrong sir for perpetuating this language. As a fellow Kentuckian and a defender of freedom of speech, there are some things that go beyond necessary. You have stepped over the line of civility. There was absolutely no reason for you to follow the path you have taken in this thread.

I have become put off by this action.

As if it means anything, at times it's been good talking with you all.
