Is someone selling a boot?

well...the fact that this site still has "The Last DJ" logo on it and the main TPATH site is still promoting the superbowl performance and promoting "Runnin' Down a Dream" movie as if it hasn't been released yet, and the mudcrutchmusic site still says the "debut album available April 29th" as if it's not released yet....

but no.. it's not a boot...it's an official release.

I vote this post of they year!! it had me laughing my ass off!

I preordered the vinyl one. Did anyone get the vinyl Mudcrutch album? I wasn't sure if the CD that came with it was the same - does it have artwork and all that jazz?

I got the Mudcrutch vinyl. I'm trying to remember the CD cover. I opened it took the cd out, put it in the player and never thought of the cd cover again. lol

Beatlesfan, I ordered the vinyl Mudcrutch album. The CD inside is the audiophile version of the Mudcrutch album. It is contained inside a cardboard sleeve. The cover of that sleeve says Mudcrutch at the top of course and the artwork is the same as one of the images in the regular Mudcrutch CD - a sepia-toned image of a guy helping build a bridge over a river. The back of the cardboard sleeve shows the same image of Tom's studio as is located on the inside front flap of the regular Mudcrutch CD.

Hope that made sense.

It does to me. Sorry I was off looking for the cd cover.

The vinyl was so nice to get the large cover the thrill of opening it up and looking inside..... I didn't pay that much attention to the cover of the cd.

I heard the vinyl version is coming with a higher-quality CD. What's up with that? Why can't both CDs be of the same quality dammit? Didn't they do the same thing with the first Mudcrutch album? I know most people who go for the vinyl are audiophiles, but what about those who don't have a vinyl player, huh? Buy it anyways?

At least it's only $12...

I just listened to the streaming soundboard recordings over at the mudcrutchmusic.com site.

Man, I have to do that waaaaaaay more often. Most excellent!

That performance of High School Confidential might be the best ever!

I've been playing it over and over. You're right Relic, that version of High School Confidential is killer. And I wasn't a big fan of Crystal River until hearing this live version. I wish to hell they'd give us an entire live show though. I'd love to hear the rest of their set in this sound quality.

I've been trying to figure out why we're not getting a whole show. Maybe they just weren't happy enough with the other songs?

One thing that I truly appreciate is that as good as the sound at the Troubadour was, and they got it better and better every night, Benmont's piano was still no where as clear at the venue as it is in these recordings.

What a treat to hear the subtle details of these performances come out!
