Just thought y'all might want to know about this if you haven't seen it already.

http://www.amazon.com/Mudcrutch-Extended-Play-Live-EP/d...d=1223008791&sr=8-10

I just preordered mine. Apparently it'll be released November 11. I'm excited!! How about everyone else?

Here is a little more info:
http://www.imwan.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=15&p=969027

Looks like its going to be four live performances:

The Wrong Thing To Do
Bootleg Flyer
Crystal River
High School Confidential

no details on sources for the live performances or whatnot although I would think it would be safe to assume that the performance of "Bootleg Flyer" would be the same one that circulated earlier this summer through the mudcrutch website

Thanks for the info you two - very cool!
I'll be picking up the vinyl/cd version - what a deal for only five bucks more.
I bought the audiophile vinyl/cd version of the Mudcrutch debut album as well.
I don't currently have a working turntable but I visually admire the glistening ebony vinyl while listening to the cd.
Hope I can buy it in person at a real record store too, to complete the nostalgic occasion!

Yes, thank you JohnMill for the information. Now I've got to wait to see if amazon is going to get the vinyl in stock.

barrydb, I also bought the audiophile Mudcrutch vinyl set. Finally decided to open it about 2 months after I got it, and was very happy with the included CD (I don't have a record player either).

I'm just loving the high quality of everything Mudcrutch is releasing, a testament to their good taste. ROCK ON!!!

A month or so ago I spotted a link to some kind of Mudcrutch release on Amazon, but it was incomplete and I couldn't tell if it was some kind of 'hangover' from the original Mudcrutch CD release, or something new.

I held off on posting the link because I was worried that it would stir up the soup and then it would turn out to just be a glitch in Amazon's system. The link didn;t make sense - it was called a DVD, and a CD and a LP and Blu-Ray etc. Seemed like it was just a placeholder, and the release date was given as 12/31/08.

Now it all makes sense!

Live Mudcrutch!!!!! It just doesn't get any better than that unless you are there when its recorded!

Athena and I are going to have a tug-of-war over this CD LOL!

Its more fun to tussle over it Wink

And just remember, as a deterrent to having the CDs stolen out of your car, take a few of the very worst CDs you own (C'mon we all have some) and leave them in plain sight in your car.

The thieves will look inside and see a Stryper CD and move on to the next car.....

(No, I didn't buy it, someone gave it to me...shudder Wink )

I always say that about books. The criminal element doesn't read. Leave a book in plain sight and they think you're a literary hick and move on to the next car... ahahaSmile

I wonder why it isn't on the Mudcrutchmusic site. That's odd.

well...the fact that this site still has "The Last DJ" logo on it and the main TPATH site is still promoting the superbowl performance and promoting "Runnin' Down a Dream" movie as if it hasn't been released yet, and the mudcrutchmusic site still says the "debut album available April 29th" as if it's not released yet....

but no.. it's not a boot...it's an official release.

We'll it is an album, and if it was produced by Fanfire, the "extra" songs shown are just the record skipping...

Can you put a live version of Most Likely You Go Your Way (And I'll Go Mine) on there? That should have been on the album originally. Thanks!

P.S. I'm still waiting for that SNL announcement. Let me know. Thanks!

Straight from the Mudcrutch website today:

Extended Play Live track listing:

1. The Wrong Thing To Do
(Live At The Ventura Theatre, Ventura, CA, April 20, 2008)

2. Bootleg Flyer
(Live At The Ventura Theatre, Ventura, CA, April 20, 2008)

3. Crystal River
(Live At The Troubadour, West Hollywood, CA, April 28, 2008)

4. High School Confidential
(Live At The Troubadour, West Hollywood, CA, May 2, 2008)

I guess it was almost necessary that they put out the epic 15 minute long version of Crystal River. I wasn't there to hear it live, but I'm looking forward to hearing it "live."

More info under the News section at http://www.mudcrutchmusic.com/

EDIT: You can also listen to the tracks under the player, but I think I'll just wait until mine arrives in the mail Cool

Crystal River kind of reminds me of the 12 minute Its Good To Be King Jam.

I love them both!
