This was posted at the Mudcrutch Farm Forum. IT WAS QUICKLY DELETED:

I’d like to respond to some of the comments Danny Roberts made in a previous post.

You won’t be the first to have had a brush with death and you won’t be the last. However, people who survive ‘near death experiences’ usually come out of them with a much more positive attitude toward/outlook on life. Evidently, you came out of the experience as miserable and obnoxious as ever. You’re just one angry, hostile individual, by nature.

And I must've been one of the 'weak links' Denny Cordell was pointing out, since he moved me and my family out to L.A. AGAIN to play with Phil Seymour a coupla years after leaving Mudcrutch. Might've been simpler to have left me in Florida. But I'll let you wonderful peeps do the anal-izing.

You keep going on and on and on about a weak link, a weak link, a weak link…

I suggest YOU were the weak link in Mudcrutch.

I would think good interpersonal relationships play a big role in any band. It’s not just a matter of getting up on stage and playing instruments. Any session player/musician can do that.

The band members are loyal to one another and to the band, as a “unit”. Instead of being loyal to the band and to the other members, you were complaining to anyone who would listen, including Denny Cordell, trying to get one of the band members booted. YOU were the weak link unraveling the “unit”.

You say you pulled the plug on Mudcrutch (when you couldn’t get your way with Tom Petty).

It’s possible Tom Petty may have pulled the plug on you through attritional means, by simply ignoring your constant complaining about the so-called weak link to whom you keep referring as someone other than yourself.

The fact Denny Cordell moved you back to California to play with Phil Seymour had nothing to do with how he felt toward you, “personally”. Business is business and Denny Cordell was in the business of making money - not kissing protege ass. You can be rest assured if it was not business related, Denny Cordell would not have moved you to California out of some sort of personal allegiance/friendship.

You mentioned when you left Mudcrutch, at some point ‘they’ kept calling you to return. You conveniently avoided this question before. Who is ‘they’? Who specifically called you to return (as you suggested) and under what circumstances, and for what reason? Certainly, NOT Tom Petty or you’d be rubbing his nose in it, today. And, it is highly unlikely Tom Petty would have entertained the idea of bringing you back into the fold. You were the catalyst of your own delusions.

So, if you think some small-minded thinking and yelping is gonna bother me, well...Sorry, but you've mis-identified my character.

I said what needed to be said. I'm satisfied. The rest of the diatribe didn't belong in this forum; therefore, I deleted it.
