I went to Boston yesterday to see Tom and the band, and it was great to say the least! Smile Anyways, they were handing out these Mudcrutch cards (imagine a business card but for Mudcrutch) and on the back it gave you a password to get a live version of "Bootleg Flyer" for free. Don't worry, I have 3 cards and they all have the same password so you can all use it. Smile

Just go to http://www.tompetty.com/mudcrutch and enter "Gainesville" (without the quotation marks) in the box.

Awesome. Thanks Beatlesfan for pointing me to this!

I love my bootleg of Bootleg Flyer from the Santa Cruz show, but it makes me very happy to hear the version that Mudcrutch recorded at whatever show this is from. Do you know which show? Definitely not the Santa Cruz show.

The card I got doesn't mention the show it came from, and neither does the site. Frown I tried looking at the song info on iTunes but it only gave me the obvious - who was the in the band and that the album was out.

Maybe someone else can recognize the show this song came from? They really should've included that info somewhere.

The back reads:

Download an exclusive live MP3 of "Bootleg Flyer" by going to http://www.tompetty.com/mudcrutch and entering the code "Gainesville". Download valid through 9/30/08. Nice! Thanks for the link! Our first taste of a live soundboard recording from Mudcrutch! I wonder if a live album is a possibility?

I don't recognize the song introduction as matching any of the boots I've heard.

Thought I'd bump this to the top, as I got one of the cards here in San Antonio and the offer expires September 30.

Is the code still Gainesville? 'Cause I tried to download it just now and it worked. Here's a link for everybody who's having trouble downloading it:

My freaking itunes is busted on my computer. I can't download any mp3's through any other programs because my computer wants to navigate them all through itunes. Any way I thought what the hell I would give it a try and it went into my Windows Media Player and I was able to download it onto my mp3 player Big Grin. Thank you so much for the link until now I have been contemplating throwing my pc out the window. I still think this is one of the best songs on the album!
