That Tv on The Radio group. I really tried but I don't like it.

I suppose I should be happy they are trying to put some music in rap but so far it isn't working. Take the rap out. Too much for too long.

Nice!

[Big props to The Hold Steady at #36, as well!]

An interesting story: I met a girl who was smart, funny, intelligent, agreeable, and as an added bonus... Looked simply stunning! One day as we were looking through my CD collection, I asked "Have you got a favourite Tom Petty song?" She replied "Who's Tom Petty?"

We haven't spoken since.

I'm glad the Mudcrutch album got credit as a legit release and not dismissed as a novelty. It's my favorite Petty-related album since She's The One and Unchained,.

My fave albums of 2008 include:
Mudcrutch
Lucinda Williams "Little Honey"
My Morning Jacket "Evil Urges"

Not a big connaisseur of indie music ( seems to be many on this list ) but I think its a great list of young and old names.

in my opinion, missing Death Cab for Cutie, Sarah Barseilles, and Metallica should be higher!

Nice to see Tom and the boys being represented. They deserve it as this album was a good album.

Especially with lyrics like.... Im a loser at the top of my game and my loves an ocean you better not cross it!

Cheers

Cazzer
