Do you guys think that this whole "Mudcrutch" thing will be a once off project or will he do an other album with them.
Everybody,s got somebody to lean on. |

Judging from how much enjoyment the individual band members seemed to be having making music together again, it is hard for me to imagine how this could have been a one time thing.
Thats how I see it after being present at 6 of the Mudcrutch gigs this year. Frankly, it would be a crime if they didn't get back together again. Crazy in love with Rock and Roll. |

Hopefully we are going to see and hear more of MUDCRUTCH. Encourage your friends to buy the album!

^ I couldn't agree more! I have to confess that I am giving the CD as gifts to people, moving stacks of them to the "new releases" displays, doing everything I can to raise awareness. One of my best friends now plays ONLY Mudcrutch in her car. ********************************************************************* "I just try to be responsible to a gift I've been given."~~Tom Petty |

Instead of being the old lady that steals the sugars at the restaurant, I'll be rearranging CD sections.

Mudcrutch is one of my favorite Petty related releases of all time.
I love how it loosened up the tight Heartbreakers structure, allowed Benmont to soak in more organ textures and Mike to wail on guitar with out it being an official Heartbreakers record. I have to say, I haven't been anywhere near this pleased with a TP related record since She's the One, and/or Unchained. That said, I would love to hear a Mudcrutch follow up, same format—a couple of great covers and some originals that capture the cosmic cowboy hippie vibe TP described at the Santa Cruz show. ~"The Internet is not a big truck. Hoping Tom and the gang are writing some additional songs (in their spare time between tour stops LOL)
Not sure that I have ever seen musicians having so much fun on stage before. Crazy in love with Rock and Roll. |

I truly felt they were having the time of their lives! That first night at the Troubadour, when they came out, the looks on Tom's, Benmont's, and Mike's faces were priceless! I don't think they have played to a crowd that close to the stage in a while... I loved Benmont's Easy Button too, and was happy to hear he brought it with him on the Heartbreakers' tour as well.

I hope to god they continue to make records and play shows. The Fillmore show I went to was by far my favorite concert of all time. I loved hearing them play all new stuff and they seemed so happy, they almost seemed like they had new life in them. I would love to see them do a album with a blues edge to it.

^ I couldn't agree more! I enjoyed every minute of the show in Santa Barbara. I would love to attend another show.
