Just have to give some serious props here. . . when I confessed my envy of Iwazzabadboy's fantabulous photos, without hesitation he burned me copies onto a CD and sent them. I think it's a testament to the extraordinary character of not only him but those who come to this board and I want to express my heartfelt THANK YOU!

Hey IWazzabadboy - is there any way I can get a CD with the pics, too? We were at the Sacramento show, and even though we were 4th row, didn't get the quality pics I wanted (not complaining, it was a GREAT concert, and on his birthday, too!). I'd be glad to pay for postage, disk, etc. Let me know - and thanks a bunch!

That will never happen. Many of us asked for just this a few years ago (and a few boards ago). Cathy Buffington (the then fan club secretary)heard our pleas, turned them over to the TPATH Camp and then came on and responded for the TPATH organization. Basically, what she told us was it would never happen because they felt that it would not be fair to ALL fan club members (regarding location, etc..). I mean, let's face it, while many of us can travel for a show, MANY cannot. Well..it didn't really hurt that bad to ask..I guess if I would have asked for front row center Gainesville with a pick thrown at me at the end of American Girl to close the show..You would have said IT AIN"T HAPPEN DUDE

Tom is right not to do a show for BBS members.
Why?: 1. Talk about Golden Circle! This would be the ultimate. Shows should not be simply mirroring of adoration. A high point of concerts is seeing from stage new faces, new unexpected reactions. I think it would be pretty boring to get geared up for "preaching to the choir". Easy, but boring for the band. 2. The "members" who are signed up here...all 9000+ of them are not necessarily "like us and ultimate guests". Many are scalpers in disguise. Many are faithful fans who got turned off by something or other and would probably rip out someone's vocal chords if they ever saw them again, or cry buckets. (Fun!) And then there are the WONDERFUL overseas fans who would see a concert like this an just one more heartache. Most of them would probably take cyanide or something if Tom announced the BBS members only show. You don't think Tom loves you? Man! I was at 3 shows this summer. I thought he was mostly staging the event for me. I don't spit too well...kinda dribble...but at one show, I think I COULD have hit both Mike and Ben with a single loogie! That is as much of a BBS member concert as I need. {For the record, Bluegill never spits. The increased incidence of spitting noted in society today really angers her. Spitting can spread diseases like Tuberculosis. Do not spit and do not walk thru spit and track germs to places they ought not be.} |

Patty and Bluegill are right though. Although, of course we would all die if the band did do a BBS only show. But I too have to say that one of the things I enjoyed at all of my seven shows this summer was meeting the folks sitting next to me and being amazed at where they were from and how far they had traveled (or they were amazed at how far I had traveled). I just want some more shows!!!
I can't wait until the next time I get to venture out to god knows where and see the boys again. It's one of favorite things to do in the whole world. I've travelled far and wide, actually got on a freaking AIRPLANE this year (after being paralyzed with fear of flying for 5 years), and I've always met cool people and had a great time. In my opinion, every show is especially for us - BE HERE NOW |

OK.....I confess I am a lurker.....I travel to showes each year but rarely post here.....I have confessed to being a lurker before...way back in the pink chat rooms......I dont post because sometimes things get little touchy on the boards ......and feelings get hurt....i sit back drink my coffee and watch !!!!!!!

Hey lurker... lurk away! I don't get into the nonsense, either. I started posting more when I actually met people from the boards at shows. It's a cool new dimension to add the fun. Everyone I've ever met has been cool, I think people only squabble on the boards. I'll never say anything about it - they can do what they want and so can I, and so can we all.
