So I just thought I'd share this small thrill i had at the Atlanta show (and I haven't gotten my pictures up yet, but I will!)

I was dodging rain while trying to figure out if I really should get more than one tour t-shirt. Since I bought the ticket package I was down front the tshirt booth was close to the back stage exit and the "Cadillac club" bar that you had to (I guess) have big bucks to go into.

I'm gazing longingly at the backstage doors when a tall, well dressed figure comes out wearing an "All Access" pass. Looking very much like something band memebers or their families wear. He looks very familiar. Of course i know all the Heartbreakers faces but I can't place why my heart is jumping into my throat at the site of this guy walking out from backstage talking on his cell phone. Maybe he's a member of Steve winwood's band who's kinda famous and I've seen on VH1? He heads into the cadillac club and gets stopped by the ushers.

Then I realize...that's TOM LEADON...and I have no pen, nothing to sign, and no balls to say something to him. (Plus he's on his cell phone and I don't want to be rude). Finally the ushers decide an All Access pass means ALL areas while I run grab a pen. Sadly when i returned I saw him disappearing backstage again.

However, it amused me that I was the only one who recognized him. So I had an inkling that we were going to get a bit of a surprise performance later on in the evening. It was pretty fantastic.

So it seems that it was a one time deal with Tom L. joining TPATH

Let's start wishing and hoping Tom L. will join us in Glendale, AZ....

I guess if you want autographs you somehow have to carry a picture or something without crushing it and have a pen holder at your fingertips.

Don't know about the shows you've been at but in Atlanta we were supplied with business card's for Mudcrutch and always keep a pen handy....

I always carry a pen and a camera. I saw Ron standing around, before a show in 2006, and didn't have either with me! I shook his hand and told him that we were big fans. This year, I was prepared. I saw Scott before their show in Cincinnati. He had come out to meet someone, I think to give them a backstage pass. I asked him if I could take a picture with him, and he said "Sure"! So, now I have a picture of myself with a real Heartbreaker! Then, I got Tom's autograph at a later show, which I told about already, so it definately is a good idea to have a pen and camera handy! I also got an autograph and picture taken with Jose, Steve Winwood's guitar player. Very nice guy from Brazil.

I have never thought of a business card. I usually just walk up and say something stupid (not intentionally) and walk away wondering why I said that. lol

HAHA! I know what you mean, Firefly! We just did a Meet & Greet with Meatloaf and I couldn't think of a thing to say to him! Meanwhile, my husband was chatting away with him like they were old buddies....Guess I was star-struck! LOL!
