I have a problem due to Loving Tom Petty and growing up with his music and then raising my kids on his music which they love too. I took my kids which are now older to concert this last summer in MO at UMB Bank Pavilion and now I have DCFS on my back because there was pot smoking at concert and I have been excused of smoking pot at the concert with my daughter. Unreal, I know but this will not stop me from going to future concerts and taking my kids along. Our internet and phone lines are now taped and they have invaded my privacy and it's not right.
This doesn't make any sense. What does your experience at the MO at UMB Bank have to do with whether or not Tom Petty reads these posts? It would be cold comfort to know that Tom Petty may have read your post because Tom Petty doesn't set the venue rules when it comes to smoking pot. And what do you want an opinion on? Did you get tossed out of the venue for smoking pot? Did you get charged? It is highly unlikely the authorities would be tapping into your phone lines over something as trivial as that. They have much bigger fish to fry.

No I was not smoking pot and yes there was many around there were at that concert. My daughter made a comment about how much smoing was goin gon at concert and someone took it as if I was with her and called DCFS on me and yes computer was looked into because they came back and told us sites that were visited and phones are tapped due to I know someone that as access to this information. I just can not believe that they would do this to me or anyone. The thing is with the patriot act they can do anything they want to anyone anytime. Why do I want Tom Petty to know this, I just do.I want everyone and anyone to know this because it is not right at all. I have posted many places about this to let others know that you do not have privacy anymore and they can do what they want on assumption. I guess this is my way of venting by telling others out there our experience. I didn't mean to make anyone mad or offended on this site or any site that I have posted on. Thank You for your response's. Hope all have a Merry Christmas and may the New Year ahead be a good year for all. God Bless!

If you didn't do anything wrong, then you shouldn't have anything to worry about. Just jump thru the hoops and play the game.
While singing to TPATH, "Quiet Mommy, I'm trying to listen to Thomas." Brett, age 5. After listening to a Mudcrutch show I asked Brett what she thought about the new Mudcrutch music. Her response: "It's great. I didn't know it would be so thrilling." Brett, age 6. "All right, now we're at the part of the show that we just go rip roarin crazy. Are you ready to go rip roarin crazy with me?" Tom Petty 6/28/03 Summerfest Baby, those few hours linger on in my head forever...

My daughter is 16. On the way to concert on highway 64 to St Louis there was a bad accident. We thought we were going to be late for concert but we made it and as always Tom,Stevie and others were great. Anyways, my daughter said to me as we were stalled in long line of traffic that she always thought that when you see beams of light from sky that it was opening to Heaven. I agreed with her. At the sametime we looked up where the beams were coming from and Seen Angels in the sky. We both at the sametime said DO YOU SEE THAT?! Then was like beside ourselves in a moment of heavenly bliss. We didn't take our eyes off the Angels. There were several. There was one bigger Angel then numerous others, kids and wings all over peeking out from behind the clouds. Then we both at sametime went SHE LOOKED AT ME, DID YOU SEE HER TURN HER HEAD?! Again, we were speechless. The biggest what seemed the main Angel turned her head and looked down at me and my daughter she turned her head but it was an instant turn didn't see her turn her head but she did and was looking right at us. At this point we both got watery eyes and cried together and we will never forget that trip from the ride there to the concert itself. When Tom came on to stage we both cried again. Tom Petty is truely a special person besides being one of the BEST song writer's, singers and preformer's of all time. Another reason why we love him so much. I have no regrets what so ever from that night I just think it's sad at how our world has become now days. Like I said this will not stop us from seeing Tom Petty again. That was first time my daughter seen a Tom Petty concert after growing up listening to his music and watching me go to his concerts. She was beside herself. Her dad loved Tom Petty too and his music out of all music we all were able to share together. Oh, my daughter did get jealous when Stevie came out and said dang mom that should be you with him not her. lol kids

That says it all. Seriously though if we believe our eyes are always deceiving us, when can we ever expect to see Jesus coming out of the sky riding his chariot (with the Lone Ranger and Tonto at the helm?) to rescue the 144,000 of the apocalypse out of a total population of 7 billion? ahahaaa
