Hi,my name is Kim,I live in Ontario,Canada and I am new here and I have been a fan of Tom's since I was eight years old and I will be 27 on December 26th.
TPATH's music has been somewhat the soundtrack of my life celebrating the good times and helping me through the terrible times such as getting me though cancer and when my sister died at the young age of 31 in 2005.
My dream is to finally see TPATH live in concert due to missing some Toronto concerts due to being either in the hospital or recovering from cancer treatments.
I hope I will be welcome to participate in conversations and hopefully meet some new friends here.I confess I have been a lurker but I thought I would finally post.
I have seen some fellow Canucks on this board so it would be great to become friends with them also.
Happy Holidays to everyone and I look forward to becoming a regular poster here.

Your friend,
Kim

Welcome Kim. Good to have you here!

While singing to TPATH, "Quiet Mommy, I'm trying to listen to Thomas." Brett, age 5.
After listening to a Mudcrutch show I asked Brett what she thought about the new Mudcrutch music. Her response: "It's great. I didn't know it would be so thrilling." Brett, age 6.
"All right, now we're at the part of the show that we just go rip roarin crazy. Are you ready to go rip roarin crazy with me?" Tom Petty 6/28/03 Summerfest
Baby, those few hours linger on in my head forever...

There are several people around here that have met either one or two or all of the Heartbreakers including Tom. I'm one of them.

Hi Emmie,
Wow,you are so lucky and a fellow Canadian at that.May I ask you to share your encounter with Tom like how "you got lucky" enough to meet him and what he is like during a fan encounter?

Welcome Kim and best of luck to you!

I would encourage you to PM ItsEmmie to find out the answer to your question. People that have been here long enough already know all of the details and have had to read them one to many time!

Emmie is a diehard just like all of us on the board so I reckon you will have some great private conversations with her via PM!

Good luck and cheers,

TP73

Yo Kim, welcome & Merry Christmas. As much as TP73 would like to tell you otherwise, ItsEmmie doesn't get around on a broom just as much as he shoots in the 70's (golf).

One thing we all share here is the bond for this band. That's indisputable and we’re all looking forward to seeing them kick ass between the halves at the Super Bowl.

Exo, your wit is amazing! I always have to read your posts a few times to really grasp them. Keep it up!

I wish I shot in the 70´s more often. I went to Canada 6 months ago for 3 months and upon my return, I havent found the swing that had me shooting in the 70´s. Its been mid-80´s with some 90´s!

Check out my handicap if you would you like. It´s at this website!

Then just type in Cazabon in the first box ( its in portuguese ) and then you can see my scores for the last little while!

CHEERS and A GREAT X-MAS TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY!

^Yo Caz, I saw a 77 in there. I'll never see a pair like that unless it's in a poker hand; never on my card.

Thanks for the wishes and sending the same back to you.

Yo! Merry Christmas

Hi Kim! Happy New Year. Hope 2008 is good to ya!

My husband golfs. I could care less. He thinks I'm his good luck charm or something, so drags me along and lets me drive the golfcart. He'd prefer I spot his balls. I prefer to read my novels.

I use busted irons (some that I bust myself) in the garden to plant seeds and mark rows, and stick them in snowbanks with little tufts of orange to guide the snowplow. I am a past master at finding and gathering stray golf balls. Frightened a gator once in Hilton Head. I hate golf.

I had the honour of meeting Mike Campbell back in February, and all I can say is that he is one of the nicest people around Big Grin

Welcome aboard - I took off for a while, but maybe I'll see ya 'round now Smile

Well, Mike Campbell saw a drawing I did of the Heartbreakers once! I was at front row during encore, and I was holding my TPATH drawing (in my signature) up as high as I could reach. As the band was exiting the stage, Mike looked right at the drawing, pointed at it, and smiled!! That was the coolest, and I'll always remember that. So, I've never met any of the Heartbreakers, but this experience was still priceless for me.

I met Benmont and Mike at Pine Knob in 1985.They were just walking away from an interview with Doug Podell. I think he was with WRIF then but it could have been WLLZ.Mike said hi signed my ticket stub and was on his way. Benmont spent a few minutes talking to me about playing on the the Lone Justice record and asking if I had seen them live. They led off a number of shows on the Southern Accents tour, Til Tuesday actually led that day in Detroit. It was a cool experience .
