We have dinner reservations at the Rooftop Grill at the Hollywood Bowl tomorrow at 4:45; you must enter the Bowl to get to the restaurant. I just spoke with the Box Office and they indicate they won't receive the Fan Club will-call list until 5:00 p.m. They indicated I should contact the Fan Club and request the list be released earlier; regular Ticketmaster will-call tickets are available starting at 3 p.m., four hours before the show.

Good luck with that. Hopefully they can accelerate the schedule a little, but don't count on it. Can you slide your reservations back a bit or are they booked solid at this point?

Also, look for a gathering of folks on the grassy area in front of the will call window. You can meet some of the nutty people here in person, and there might even be a special treat there for people to enjoy before the show. It'll be worth your time I promise! Look for one or more people wearing black and white 'Mudcrutch for President' shirts. That should help you to pick us out of the gathering crowd.

PM me for details if you wish and I'll fill you in on the pre-show happenings.

I'm surprised she doesn't do red and black stripes, and wear a Flying Vee shaped hair pin during tour season in honor of the band. Smile

Hmmm, if she's distracted, and I find a black sharpie.....

LOL!! Big Grin Big Grin

I tried to convince my mother to fly out there for the show tomorrow.

It didn't work. Big Grin

*The show's most thrilling moment, "Don't Come Around Here No More," with Nicks on backing vocals and tambourine, ended in a crashing, surreally strobe-lit jam with both Petty and Nicks thrashing like teenagers. In that moment, their silky blond hair flying, flash frozen in the strobe's white light, they seemed both timeless and immediate, classic and forever young.*

Maybe they have a special "eating pass" at the box office.

WillCall fan club was really late last year (Oh geez 2 years ago). I barely made it up the hill and it was time for the show!

Hope for a little better luck this time around

Come early, kick back under a sycamore tree on the grass, chat with other TP&HB fans, people watch, have a nosh, maybe enjoy a drink....

Watch the sun glide down the sky, and ease into this thing Smile

Beat the crush and relax.

You just can't rush Rock and Roll!

Just got off the phone with audience services at the Hollywood Bowl; they indicate that 5 p.m. is still the time.

So, I look forward to meeting some of you folks on the knoll

I just called this morning at 10:03. Per Claudia, the box office opens at Noon, but you cannot pick up tickets to tonight's show until 5:00 p.m. That is the information I got this morning. Smile

i went to will call with the confirmations to all four tickets and when i got there they told me that two of the tickets were voided and they had already sold the tickets. has this happened to anyone? we were never notified about our tickets being voided and we had the confirmations for five months. its ridiculous four of us drove 500 miles to hollywood to find out that for some reason we only had two tickets. we ended up buying two more tickets from scalpers so we got in but has anyone had any experiences like that?

No NEVER.

They are in your ticketmaster account. It shows the seat numbers and what credit card you used.

Go check your Ticketmaster account.

So you are saying you personally paid Ticketmaster and didn't get a refund or?????

Were these fan club tickets, or regular public sale tickets?

If they were fan club tickets, their site states:

Who can help me at the show if something is wrong with my tickets or my tickets are not at the box office?

Fan club members should have the box office contact the assistant tour manager. They will be able to resolve most fan club ticket issues. They are not there to hear complaints from fans that their tickets are not close enough or requests for backstage passes. They are only there to help with issues about your tickets not being there, incorrect amount of tickets, etc.

http://www.highwaycompanions.com/index.php?module=faq#10

I cringed when I read your story.... Glad you managed to get into the show but that ticket experience truly sucks. If the purchase of those tickets didn't violate any of the fan club / ticketmaster rules, and yet they were still canceled and resold, I'd be furious.

On the other hand, if the tickets were obtained through less than legit means, then all bets are off. And if I recall correctly the ticketmaster contract language is very clear that they ticketmaster can cancel tickets at their sole discretion. As a rule abiding customer, that language kinda freaks me out, because if they ever make a mistake the consumer appears to have little recourse. On the other hand, I've never seen a binding contract that allowed one party to completely blow off the terms whenever they felt like it, and yet still compel the other party to fulfill their part of the deal. Don't know whether to damn them for one sided language, or applaud them for trying to combat those who try to rig the system.....

Can't even remember all the T's and C's now - but I know there were limits on the number total, and the number per show for fan club tickets per member.

Is it possible you ran afoul of one of those rules?
