Hello to everyone! I'm a new member to the site and I have read other posts relative to the quality of TP merchandise being sold by Fanfire - i.e. poor quality superbowl shirts. Unfortunately I now have to put up my own post on the same topic.

I used one of my $25.00 coupon codes to purchase one of the 30th Anniversary Tour Zip Up Hoodies. After approximately one month it finally arrived. To sum everything up in one word, very sarcastically I would have to say "wow".

"Heavyweight Zip-Up Hoodie" actually means: Lightweight, thin hoodie with low budget screen printing in which the trademark TP 30 year heart logo is more of a "burnt orange" color than red. The front zipper is very cheap and does not work well. The Men's XL size I ordered is more like a typical large size hoodie.

Unfortunately due to the costs of shipping to Canada, I'm not going to bother trying to return it. The other horror stories I've read from other people regarding the fanfire customer service only reinforces my decision.

I'm surprised that the management and others in the Tom Petty camp (and the music business for the matter) would continue to be represented by this company when it appears to be so obvious that poor quality merchandise is being sold to promote and support there work: quality music.

I probably shouldn't hold my breath and hope that the merchandise sold at the upcoming concerts will be better quality...

It really sucks that the quality of the shirts/hoodies is so poor. I was actually going to purchase the hoodie and now I'm not so sure.

I'm just hoping the Coffee Table Book doesn't come with a paper cover and isn't printed on recycled newprint!!

The coffee table book - maybe I should say the copy that I have - is gorgeous. High quality paper, glossy pictures, printed beautifully. Of course my 30th anniv. hoodie is one of the early ones and is also very thick, actually way oversized, so-so screen printing, but is obviously a different run than the ones you guys have been getting.

The book is worth the wait (cause I already have one!)... but I'm dying to see the shirt!

Glad to hear about your coffee table book... but disappointed to hear there is that much difference with your hoodie and the hoodies fans are ordering now. Hope the book (to be shipped with dream package) does not follow the same fate as the hoodie!!!!

Interesting...inconsistancy must be another Fanfire trait. I ordered a medium 30th Anniversary Hoodie about a month ago with one of my coupons and they shipped it immediately and it was very heavy with nice-looking screen printing...Guess I just got lucky...

I wonder if the quality of the hoodie is just a matter of opinion. Mine is hanging over my shoulders right now (my office is freezing!). I got one of the early ones and found out that the hood should have the band name screen printed on it, and mine didn't. I traded it in at the next concert I went to for one that did.

I've never given any thought to if it would be considered, "heavyweight", but now feeling it I would have to agree it's not, but I wouldn't call it thin either. The number 30 isn't as deep red as it could be, but I wouldn't call it orange.

But I never thought about any of those things until I read these complaints. I love this jacket. It is the perfect weight for living in Southern California. It is just warm enough for most winter mornings and for evenings the rest of the year. Oh, and for my office Smile

^ mine's definitely heavy - and the logo is a dark orange (not red). Overall a good purchase even if it does hang way over my butt. Definitely not a dainty little cover up for sure!

^Maybe we need criteria for what heavyweight means. I bet yours and mine are the same.

I posted this on another thread, but I'll repeat myself Smile.

I received my mug and superbowl tshirt last week. Mug is great, tshirt was returned. I ordered a women's XL, and it was really small, 36" bust, and that was stretching it.

The quality was bad too, about as thick as a kleenex, and the side seams had a bit of a twist going on.

It actually cost me more for shipping both ways than the tshirt itself, but I knew if I kept it, I'd just get angry everytime I looked at it Frown.

Ah, it's good to have a "whipping boy" with the HCC/Fanfire... I think HCC/Fanfire is such a healthy way to vent displeasure, realize "nothing is a given", and share other people's aggravation on this topic... Let's hope that checking this post continues to be the most maddening part of our day!!... those rotten bast.rds!
