I went to Bonarroo in 06 no HCC involvement period.

So I don't know why there would be any this year.

There is has never been HCC involvement with festivals. I can imagine the logistics would be insane if they even tried to figure out a way to make an HCC only VIP area at the front of the stage for only one act in a 3-day weekend.

For the almost $700 VIP package you can get a special area at the main stage, but that's a little too rich for my blood.

Where did you see the info on the VIP passes? Not that there is anyway in hell that I could afford it.

This kind of makes me sick. Remind me again why I am a HCC member?

I have been waiting & waiting & waiting for them to announce the San Francisco show. We finally get ALL the information & instead of jumping for joy, I am sick to my stomach. $1495.00 for VIP passes for 2? Plus the cost to drive, (or fly), from Reno. Plus the high cost of a hotel in San Francisco, meals, drinks, etc. Who the hell could afford that? You can't even try to scrape by & purchase a one day ticket, it's got to be all 3? I guess I'll have to say my prayers for Las Vegas! So here goes the waiting game, AGAIN!

Maybe Las Vegas hasn't been announced yet to try to increase ticket sales for San Francisco?
Do you think?

One can only wonder.

Denver isn't quite THAT steep.

Come on out! Smile

Jerry are you considering buying GA tickets for the San Fran festival? I haven't decided yet. I'm going to San Fran next month for mudcrutch and would love to go back for the festival but would have to do GA. Decisions, decisions I guess I will have to make up my mind by Sunday am.

Hi fan4petty,

I don't know what to do either? I wish we had all the information about Las Vegas (if it even exists), so we could make informed decisions. I don't really have time to go to a 3 day festival. I'm sure it would be fun, but 3 days in a hotel + everything else is just too much for me right now. Even if I got GA tickets & only went one day, we don't know how long TB&H set will be. What if they only play for an hour? What to do, what to do?

I think I'm going to wait to see if they sell tickets for seperate days later on and if they do I will probably go. What the heck it is only a four hour drive and I would love to see Jack Johnson perform too.

Hi Folks,

I don't often post on here but well, here goes!

So, the Golden Gate Park Concert....I pay my membership fee and low and behold...theres no presale for HCC members. What the hell is that all about??? Being an international member, i can only really choose one to go to one - so i held off on a few other presales thinking this was the one, TBD was listed beside the concert for ages (under the presale part...how misleading), and then suddenly this changes to "N/A". Excuse me?!?! Can someone tell me what use the HCC membership is in this case?

We're traveling from Scotland to go to this one and i held off on the flights as long as i could - consequently, i booked before the "presale" was announced thinking there would actually be a presale. Now, my girlfriend wears hearing aids so, in order that she is actually able to hear the concert, i have to pay $1400 to get in the VIP area up front. Is that what i'm being told here?? Is that the deal??!?

Any input here would be much appreciated. Sorry for the rather rash post, i just feel as if ive paid my membership money for absolutely nothing.

Also, if i was to go down this route, where would I stand in terms of a membership refund? So far it has been absolutely useless, and i can imagine with the sheer number of HCC members, it's been a nice little earner for the management.

OVERALL - ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTED!!!!!!!!!

Welcome to HCC...didn't you read the really "fine" fine print before you signed up and paid your dues?

"We can and will change whatever arrangements we choose to at any time for any reason and not give a flying fig for those who put there dollars, kroners, euros or pounds in our coffers. This is big business, and we will are always right.

"When we do have a presale, it may not start at any scheduled time, your presale passcodes might not work, but as long as it is a weekday workday, during working hours, we will try to find someone in the mail room who can work on the problem.

"(TBA stands for To Bad... Again! although some of you might have preferred Tough Beans A**ho*e!)

"Those even thinking of questioning our motives may find themselves relegated to row Z at the only Mudcrutch reserved seating show this spring.

"And don't even think of asking why your coffetable books can't be packaged and shipped together, instead of one at a time... we have a brother-in-law that works for the delivery company, and have to keep his kids fed.

"Thanks for your $... keep them coming..."

LOL over my morning coffee

Ah! So that’s what that small print said...lol....oh well, then I guess the HCC is right in everything they do and I best shut up! (heyhey, seriously, your post was pretty good and true to point...).

In all honesty though, are we really asking so much? They (yes, the buggers that are HCC) led us to believe there would be a presale by placing TBD in the presale column, and then we find out the presale was never going to happen anyways. I mean, how many of us were relying on that?!? After paying my membership money, I sure as hell was relying on it and expecting it. Now, I need to take a gamble on general admission tickets and hope that we are allowed within good enough ear shot that my girlfriend can actually hear the music.

Yes, some people might say that presale tickets haven't been available for festivals in previous years but you know what? That doesn't matter here because they, the HCC folk that have taken my memebership money, I feel have led us to believe something different.

Oh, and the VIP tickets...am I right in saying they come with massage facilities aswell? To me, the whole thing is transpiring to be a massive joke.

Come on HCC, pull through on this one and show me where my damn money has gone!!!!

WELL...i'll be god damned...

Head over to the Outside Lands web page and you'll notice that there IS actually a presale, however you must be a VISA cardholder (which I am luckily)...

Ok...it might not guarantee me massages, views from a polo field or whatever (ala the VIP packages) but i best take my chances on these ones and purchase them...figure it's as good as we're going to get.

HCC - why the hell do we not get a presale, but clearly something like this can be arranged for Visa card holders????

Yet again...HCC membership = a complete waste of money.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

It turns out you have to be a US customer with a US billing address in order to book.

Very nice indeed!!

Is this some big massive corporate joke that Bill Gates or Steve Jobs is involved in??

I give up.

Well, Raley Field in West Sacramento is starting to announce their summer concerts with the first being DMB. I'm not giving up hope that TPATH might take a short flight up this way once again. After all, his birthday show last year was so memorable! Maybe he has a little warm fuzzy for us???

This is my first post. Love TPATH but HATE the way HCC has handled this. I will not pay $250 for a festival with 180,000 attendees. I resent being duped by HCC. I know there's super small print but isn't that of what TP was railing against in Last DJ? Arghhh!

Hey Beth,

Good to hear from you, welcome to the board. I don't mean to be running the show here with all my posts but i dont know what else I can do or where else I can go. I'm awaiting on an email reply from the outside lands folk and the HCC but whether they will come is anyone's guess.

Its great, isn't it though?? You're getting completely screwed over and theres not one thing you can do about it.

HCC - hows about some answers? Do you listen to your customers?? I mean, this section is purely for HCC queries so surely this should be moderated??
