Question:
hi, glad your taking a look at this. the reason i am doing this study is to seewhat petty fans smoke to. my biggest question is do petty fans smoke to obvious songs like last dance with mj and roll another joint or do they smoke to other songs like running down a dream or don't do me like that or even the waiting. you be the judge! have fun petty forever

Choices:
last dance with mary jane
roll another joint
the waiting
free falling
don't come around here no more

Don't smoke anymore...makes me paranoid. But at shows, I'd say most joints get lit during "Last Dance with Mary Jane" and "You Don't Know how it Feels" (aka your roll another joint). But back in my "smoking days" I think any song was good to smoke to...so was any tv show, movie.....

I very seldom "smoke" anymore either. I graduated to Martini's. No paranoia with them.

i've only smoked pot twice in my life and both times i was listening to psychedelic music to set the mood so if we're going with psychedelic tom petty songs? i'd pick "Zero From Outer Space" or "Don't Come Around Here No More"

hello CD listeners, we have come to the point on this album where those listening on cassette or records will have to stand up or sit down and turn over record or tape. In fairness to those listeners we will now take a few seconds before we begin side two... Thank you... Here's side two - tom petty, 1989

Back in the day, Damn the Torpedoes would definitely improve a Jack Daniel's buzz. Another good time was sipping Long Island Ice Teas while listening to Trailer on the juke box at Lyon's Restaurant and Lounge. One of those sessions resulted in me waking up in an actual trailer to the sound of Elvis' Love Me Tender. On a 45 RPM record, no less.

Looking back, that's one of my favorite memories of the '80s.

The promo remix version of Make it better (forget about me) on 12" vinyl, remixed by Don Smith and Shelly Yakus goes well with a spliff...I reckon Dave Stewart had an invisible hand in the mixing, though... Cool

Peace, luv'n'hugs
