Woman In Love (Its Not Me)

would have been a bigger hit if not released same time as his biggest chart hit with Nicks, which it battled for airplay

Jammin Me

a minor hit, popular among fans and commonly performed, also for a song from that album to appear it would be this one

Yer So Bad

This song was popular also Love Is A Long Road could have been on it, as it was a real classic Heartbreakers style song in among his solo/wilbury pop rockers from FMF.

------------------------------
Honey don't walk out I'm too drunk to follow
You know you won't feel this way tomorrow
Well, maybe I'm a little rough around the edges
Inside a little hollow
I get faced with some things sometimes
That are so hard to swallow
Hey hey hey!

I was born a rebel
Down in Dixie on a Sunday morning
Yeah with one foot in the grave
And one foot on the pedal
I was born a rebel

i agree with a woman in love but jammin me i say no. i love the song but it went number 1, why the hell wasn't it on greatest hits, it hit number fucking one.

anyway i'd also say no second thoughts, rebels, trailer is awsome, and probaly anything from let me up, there most underrated album. almost as good as full moon fever and damn the torpedoes

1. Louisiana Rain - Damn the Torpedoes (I have never seen them do this song & would love to see them do it.)

2. Honey Bee - Wild Flowers (I'm pretty sure this was '94, but still a favorite.)

& last but certainly not least

3. Zombie Zoo - Full Moon Fever (?)

1. you got lucky
I love this song! everybody should have this behavior: I found you (not you found me) and you got lucky! so go if you don't feel complete!!!!!

2. rebels
the song that makes "southern accents" one of my favourite albums. absolutely wonderful!

3. a face in the crowd
a really good ballad! I don't like very much "full moon fever", but this is a great song

one of my favourite song is "casa dega", recorded in 1979, but not found in official albums 'till 1995 with playback

I'm so tired of being tired

I don't know what chart you're referring to, but "Jammin' Me" peaked at #18 in the Billboard singles chart. Still, that's not a bad chart placement for a TPATH single, higher than all but four singles on Greatest Hits ("Don't Do Me Like That" [#10, 1979], "Refugee" [#15, 1980], "Don't Come Around Here No More" [#13, 1985], and "Free Fallin'" [#7, 1989]), and I myself actually wonder why it was left off of it.

My three are:

1) Spike
2) It Ain't Nothin' To Me
3) Something Big

"I want Michael to do this song. This is a dance craze that's sweepin' my brain, you know...uh [pause]...I have dance crazes that occasionally sweep my brain." - Tom Petty, 4-11-99.

I have to agree with:

A Woman in Love and
Casa Dega (I can't believe that didn't make the "cut" on SOME album! Classic, to the heart, Tom Petty lyrics... "fool pay a price for a whisper in the night)

I would add:

Have Love, Will Travel

I think that's a great song.

Yer So Bad and A Face In The Crowd have always been stand-out tracks to me. (YSB is just good fun, and I love the hypnotic quality of AFITC).

Other than that ... probably The Wild One, Forever. Or maybe No Second Thoughts. Oooops, that's 4.

I agree. I've made a couple of mix CDs for people recently, and I put Have Love Will Travel on both of them.

Anything That's Rock 'N' Roll

Shadow Of A Doubt (Complex Kid) (my favourite Tom Petty song of all time)

Kings Road

http://dogontherunmusic.blogspot.com/

hello CD listeners, we have come to the point on this album where those listening on cassette or records will have to stand up or sit down and turn over record or tape. In fairness to those listeners we will now take a few seconds before we begin side two... Thank you... Here's side two - tom petty, 1989

#1 - something big
#2 - wasted life
#3 - shadow of a doubt
this is at least some of the many great songs that didn't make the greatest hits album.

But what about the greatest hits vol 2?(94 - ?)

Almost impossible to answer this one. There are probably 30 or so that I could include as equals for Nos. 2 and 3. No 1 is not subject to change.

1. Shadow of a Doubt (A Complex Kid)

For today...

2. One Story Town

3. Think About Me

I agree - there are way too many incredible songs to narrow it down to just three.

Here's to hoping he comes out with a Greatest Hits #2 album... Cool
