The song that got me interested was "Refugee". I wanted to hear more and bought the "Greatest Hits"album and when I heard "American Girl"and "Learning to fly"I was hooked! For Howie: "You got a heart so big, it could crush this town". "Is it too much to ask for just one quiet day?" - Venice

I Also grew up on Tom Petty as i was younger but my favorit song i could not tell you because i love all of them! I love listening to his songs and when i get a guitar i will learn to play his cords maybe do a song with him (that would be great) i love listening to Free Falling and You Don't Know How It Feels (Listening to you don't know how it feels now and i lve the lyrics and the music) I love Tom Petty and the heart breaks! When i'm down or really up set i put on a Tom Petty cd and i just forget every thing and just relax and in like two hours i'm back on track, i'm 15 and i love tom petty and people go "whos he?" i go "Only the coolest rocker out their." They "let me hear." SO i do and i got them into him so now me and my friends just jam to his music. "so let's get to the point, lets roll another joint and let's head on down the road, theirs some were i got to go, and you don't know how it feels, you don't know how it feels to be me." Love it TOM you rock!!! Keep Rocking!!!!! Britt'a

I took notice when I heard "Breakdown" and "American Girl" on the radio - HOWEVER when I first heard "I Need to Know" {I can remember the exact moment} played over the PA in a club, I began asking anyone & everyone WHO IS THIS??? The guitar just shook me and Tom's no-bullshit singing just pushed me over.... It made me want to be in a band (I'm no musician!) So many fabulous songs but you've got to hear them live!!!

My Aunt first gave me a cassette of the Wilburys Vols. 1 and 3 albums, so that's how I got hooked. At the end of the Vol. 3 side, she added on "I Won't Back Down", "Feel A Whole Lot Better", and "Free Fallin." I love I"I Won't Back Down."

I loved the song REfugee long before I knew who sang it. So that's my answer
...together as one and maybe get the job done instead of blaming yesterday
