Now that I've bought my wife a Sony turntable for her christmas present, I want to buy a TP&THB vinyl record. I don't want to buy the whole collection. (I've already got them on CD.) Just want the one that stands out.

Think I'll pack it in and buy a pick-up
Take it down to L.A.
Find a place to call my own and try to fix up.

Damn The Torpedoes.

hello CD listeners, we have come to the point on this album where those listening on cassette or records will have to stand up or sit down and turn over record or tape. In fairness to those listeners we will now take a few seconds before we begin side two... Thank you... Here's side two - tom petty, 1989

Yeah! I like that album. It's got some great early stuff on it. Thanks Wilbury.

Well? Did you get Damn the Torpedoes?
How did it sound?
If you think you might want another...
try Wildflowers...Honeybee is amazing on vinyl!

I love my copy of You're Gonna Get It! on vinyl, but that's one of my favorite albums, so it might just be me. I'm very fond of the first couple of albums on vinyl. They sound better.

No not yet! I had some technical difficulties with the counterbalance thing but its fixed now. I think I will go down to the local record store today and see if they have Damn The Torpedoes, or Wildflowers? Otherwise I'll have to shop Amazon for them!

Southern Accents sounds much better on vinyl than CD

Full Moon Fever also has a very rich sound on vinyl if you can find it.
