No, but those lyrics are kind of creepy....which is probably the whole point. Are you sure they weren't playing it for laughs?
Reminds me of The Byrds tune "Chestnut Mare" where McGuinn is singing about his horse being just like his wife. Umm.....OK. And they weren't playing that for laughs.

Could be. But, it was a really CATCHY tune; great melody, too (from the little bit they played).

Here's the episode. Al Bundy decides to sell his Dodge. It has 999,999 9/10 miles on it. The Dodge people offer to make a commercial showing the odometer reading changing to all zeroes in order to demonstrate how long-lasting Dodge cars are, in exchange for a brand new model.
While trying to keep himself awake in the garage protecting his car until the morning when the commercial is to be run, Al turns on the radio and that song comes on.
Thank you sooooooo much, Scarecrow. The show comes on twice at night. I watched it the first time and the tune caught my attention; so, I watched it the second time to try to capture the lyrics. I found it quite CATCHY! It's too bad someone couldn't develop it because it does have a good little melody, from the bit I heard.
I searched YouTube and found various segments of that particular episode but not where Al turns on the radio and that song comes on. I'll keep an eye out for it, though. It's a very brief segment with only those two lines of the lyrics being sung.
It's after this segment that Marcie throws the fear into Al about leaving his car unattended for 12 hours before the Dodge commercial is to be run, so Al goes into the garage to guard his Dodge, while trying to keep himself awake.
Anyway, if I find the segment, I'll post it here.

I watched this episode again last night. Cranked up the volume on the segment where the song comes on the radio:
"And, that's when my hound dog Started looking good to me"
Man, what a great, ROCKING, CATCHY little tune. Someone should develop the song - put lyrics to it, if none already exist, and build around the existing melody/tune.
And, whoever sang that segment sounds REALLY good.

I just bought it. No one was listed in the credits. I heard the part of the song you were talking about though. I'm pretty sure that was just something one of the writers threw in. That's not a real song.

That was a good show for awhile. I always liked the one where he built his own bathroom in the garage and he went to Canada to get a 3 gallon per flush toilet.
