During the tour. I know it was secret, and I've inquired more subtly, but still no news, and it's been nearly two months since the tour ended. I'd just like to know it was delivered, and not kept by someone here. Anybody know?

Exactly what happened after the item was delivered is, at this time, a mystery.

But the way the timing happened to work out, I wondered the same thing myself Lazlow. Smile

OK I guess its time to spill the beans already - I don't have much time to write now (I'm late in fact) but here goes:

Some fans got the idea to pass a copy of the Runnin' Down a Dream coffee table book along the path of the 2008 tour. It went from fan to fan, by car, by air, etc... Fans signed it along the way, some also adding brief messages for the band.

In the end the Book traveled to something like 22 shows, and was covered front to back with a ton of signatures from fans almost everywhere. It was photographed strapped into seat-belts, in the cockpit of aircraft, as it was having a little repair work done on its binding mid-tour, and at several pre-show gatherings where fans gathered to sign it.

The book was delivered a week or so ago via an intermediary, and so now the band has another copy of the Runnin' Down A Dream book (and who doesn't need two or three copies really?)

Although some of us think this copy is a highly special and very limited 'Thank You, you guys ROCK!' edition Smile

I think that this announcement needs more attention. I'm going to take the liberty and copy Relic's post and post it in beach party where more people will see it.

While singing to TPATH, "Quiet Mommy, I'm trying to listen to Thomas." Brett, age 5.
After listening to a Mudcrutch show I asked Brett what she thought about the new Mudcrutch music. Her response: "It's great. I didn't know it would be so thrilling." Brett, age 6.
"All right, now we're at the part of the show that we just go rip roarin crazy. Are you ready to go rip roarin crazy with me?" Tom Petty 6/28/03 Summerfest
Baby, those few hours linger on in my head forever...
