I've seen Tom Petty over 10 times and the Houston Woodlands show was disappointing, since Petty was obviously under the influence of ... something. His reaction time was slow, esp. during the first six or so songs. Great man, great music, one of my all time favorites. Sad to see ... Your thoughts?

I was in the third row and didn't notice anything different with him. His eyes wasn't red or anything and I don't think alcohol is his vice of choice. I had a blast and was not disappointed at all.

If you attended the Woodlands TPATH concert, please review the suggested set list posted by FireflyElf (Makin Some Noise - Cumulative Set List thread) and confirm it or provide us with suggested changes.
I attended 4 shows this tour. My favorite was the Atlanta show ~ but the Woodlands show rocked. Tom smiled a lot and he really had a good time doing Gloria. It totally rocked. I loved it. The only sad thing was that the tour was over. I'm having withdrawals already since I've been chasing him since February. lol

I didn't find Tom to be moving slowly at all in Houston. He seemed to really be having fun, was all smiles. Sorry you saw things differently, but from where I was at, the show was fantastic!

Sorry, but I can't agree either. I was on the first row directly in front of Tom and I didn't think he was slow at all. It was fun seeing Gloria from that spot and he was really into it when he told his little story in the middle.
This show was definately better than '06, in my opinion. I'm sure the A/C they had this year helped.
