I wish I did. I love it if there were a live version I could hear. It's a great song but something isn't quite there in the studio version. In structure it reminds me of how AC/DC uses chords for "leads" but it never gets quite as heavy as a AC/DC song. Not sure if the tempo needs to be a hair faster or the beat harder or both.
I'm at the age now where if someone says they have acid, I assume they're talking about reflux. |

If you are talking about a live performance, it's been performed live twice: Once at the "Two Steppin' For The Cure" AIDS Benefit in May of 1996 which has never been bootlegged and again at The Fillmore on 1-14-97 which has been bootlegged but in abysmal sound quality.  |

Yeah. I've heard that Fillmore version and it ROCKS! But the sound quality is indeed terrible. Man, I really wish they'd bring this one back live, it has so much potential! As for "alternate" versions, I'm pretty sure I read a quote from Tom someplace saying they did record a different version of the song. I think it was for Wildflowers. Allegedly, that alternate version (which was recorded a few years before the electric STO version) was a more acoustic-based song. No one's ever heard that though. ---- I watch that fortune wheel but never get to spin it, You make me promises but I don't think you mean it. |

You are correct sir..."Climb That Hill" and "Supernatural Radio" were both recorded for "Wildflowers" (and copyrighted alongside the other songs on the album) but were re-recorded for "She's The One". |

^ That makes sense. They DO sound wildflowerish, so to speak. Thanks for all the info guys, it may be weird, but I feel better knowing that I didn't miss anything, since there isn't a good quality alternate version of it. Heh.
Iffybiz comments made me think, maybe the song would be even better with a more agressive drumming. But I still love it and it's one of the band's rockin' tunes that I just can't get enough of, especially while driving The tempo is fine, I don't want it to get shorter by any means! |
