You have to keep watching that front page.

They are selling MP3's through Ticketmaster. Now that is unexpected.

Also, a confirmation of the release date of The Live Anthology:

quote:
24 advance tracks, from 17 shows, over 8 weeks - all delivered prior to the release of The Live Anthology. The remaining 24 tracks will be delivered on the album’s November 24 street date.

You're welcome Lizzie. My obsessive checking of the site's main page paid off. Smile

Kinda sucks that Ticketmaster gets a piece. I lump them in with Jim DeMint and Joe Wilson and Fox "News" and swine flu. Oops, this isn't Cabin Down Below!

The price of a Superhighway Tour ticket includes all 48 The Live Anthology digital tracks plus the 8 week online experience for $24.98 without any additional service fees. Downloads will be available in 256kbps MP3 or FLAC formats - fan’s choice.

Why are they selling this on TicketBasterd?

TicketBasterd sucks - AND this confuses me even more, as it makes me THINK I'm buying actual concert tickets....instead of a cyber 'experience'

I need to know where the list of tour dates are? Ticketmaster keeps going to error. And I don't know where to look on this webpage.

Susieq,

This is NOT an actual tour - this is a downloadable item which is being marketed with a name that sounds confusingly like a concert tour, but it is not.

You are the 3rd person I have seen confused about this today alone.

$25 doesn't seem so bad. Of course if I'm going to drop $100 on the deluxe set I guess I don't really need to do the SuperHighway thing.

Yeah they just sweetened the deluxe edition with some more extras.

- A lithograph reproduction of the cover art

- A deluxe book with in depth linear notes by TP, Warren Zanes, Bill Flanagan and company

- A reproduction of a poster from the run of The Fillmore West in 1997

- Something called "The Live Anthology notebook"

- A bunch of assorted retro backstage passes from years past.

Then why does it say tickets will be on sale on September 29th? I guess a girl can only hope to see Tom live!

Okay. So confused. Here we go:

1.) Will the songs sold through TicketMaster be available on the Live CD's?

2.) Will the 48 tracks on the four CD's in the Deluxe set be the same as the 48 track digital album?

3.) Are the songs on the Vinyl Deluxe Set the same as the songs on the Deluxe set?

Thank you so much to whoever answers this, because I have read it so many times and still have no clue Big Grin

*The show's most thrilling moment, "Don't Come Around Here No More," with Nicks on backing vocals and tambourine, ended in a crashing, surreally strobe-lit jam with both Petty and Nicks thrashing like teenagers. In that moment, their silky blond hair flying, flash frozen in the strobe's white light, they seemed both timeless and immediate, classic and forever young.*

** No matter what is going on in the world or what tepid drivel is pouring out of the radio, just remember that somewhere out there, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers are rocking for all of us.**

Yes, Yes & Yes...think of the digital downloads as an opportunity to hear the music before the release date. The vinyl set will be a clone of the cd set...
