So - I went to Ireland from April 19th to the 25th. I was looking through one of many brochures and much to my surprise there was a castle founded by Rene De Montmorency. I don't know if everyone knows that Benmont's name is (I just can't even believe I know this sometimes) Benjamin Montmorency Tench III. So we went and saw it. The castle was called Dunbrody castle. It's closed until May 23 but it has a shrub maze and it's really beautiful.

I do have pictures but I have about a zillion pictures to go through so I'll post it later on.

I'll try to do this today. I just have too much going on right now.

Planning my wedding. Most everything is set now.

Son is graduating from Highschool(May 29)I just fall apart at the most inopportune moments because of this. My heart breaks and at the same time I couldn't be prouder of my boy.

I'm taking 4 (what the heck is wrong with me anyway??) college classes right now. I'll be done with 2 of them next week.

I work full time.

Those are my excuses. I'll try to go get those photos today and put em up.

Another appearance by Benmont Tench on the Avett Brothers album, I and Love and You.

-----------

"While Rubin and the band resisted any temptation to overdress the record, they subtly expanded the instrumental palette with classically trained—and now full-time—band member Joe Kwon on cello, Heartbreakers keyboardist Benmont Tench, Bob Dylan fiddle player Donnie Herron and a rotating cast of drummers, including Scott and Seth, Simone Felice of the Felice Brothers and Dashboard Confessional’s Mike Marsh."

And, yet another appearance by Benmont Tench on Christina Courtin New Self-titled album. It appears Benmont Tench is in popular demand.

---------------------------

"The album is co-produced by Christina Courtin, jazz bassist Greg Cohen, and her frequent band mate singer/guitarist Ryan Scott.

Cohen and Scott also contribute bass and guitar to the recording. Several acclaimed musicians join them, including keyboardist Benmont Tench, drummer Jim Keltner, pedal-steel player Greg Leisz, Punch Brothers violinist Gabe Witcher, and multi-instrumentalist Jon Brion."

But Knowles was determined to keep playing and keep the Back Door Slam name going. With Frampton on board, Knowles found himself teamed up with an elite lineup. Frampton brought in Bob Clearmountain (Bruce Springsteen, Paul McCartney, The Who) to mix as well as a talented A-list of musicians including Fritz Lewak (drums) and Kevin McCormick (bass) -- Jackson Browne's rhythm section -- as well as Benmont Tench of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers contributing keys.

OMC: On the new album you certainly had an all star cast with Peter Frampton, the guys from Jackson Browne's band and Benmont Tench from Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. Could you tell me what is was like working with them and what it means to your growth as a musician?

DK: It was tremendously exciting. It was a big thrill for me to work with Peter because he's one of my heroes. I've been listening to him for a long time so to write songs with the guy and to have him produce the album was a massive honor. I just think he's such a sweet guy. He's a lovely person and a pleasure to work with. He basically organized Jackson Browne's band and Benmont, which I am forever grateful for. Those guys, I mean they pushed me and worked me into shape. They're wonderful musicians who really made the album for me. They just pushed me and brought out the best of me. It was wonderful to work with them. Really great people.
