I am so deeply saddened by this tragic ending.

I just wanted to express to Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers my deepest sympathy on the recent passing of Howie Epstein, which I just learned about on my Winnipeg.com homepage. I was also sorry to learn that he was experiencing health and drug problems. I have been a huge fan of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers for at least 20 years and remembered Howie from the various cassette tapes that I have of the band.
I sincerely pray that Howie Epstein is at peace now, more than he was when he was alive.

I can't believe this happend. I'm in total shock right now. . .somebody told me thismorning when I came into worked. . .I had listend to a cd all morning. . .I haven't stopped crying yet.

To all of Howie's friends and family, I am so sorry for your loss. Howie will be missed greatly.

I am too Rox, I can't stop thinking about it. I am very sad.

I am totally in disbelief right now... I just found out today 3/5 and I don't really know what to think I remember seeing Howie a couple times with the guys at Saratoga and he just played like there was no tomorrow. I am deeply saddened by this news and send my very best out to his family and the rest of the band. I don't know what to really say. I am so very upset. My best to all of you be well.
