This doesn't have to be about the Tazzy Fund, ONLY. I'm expanding our horizons. Smile I'm challenging one person to donate up to $50 to the animal WELFARE organization of their choice, anywhere in the United States of America, and I'll match their contribution, dollar for dollar, to the Tazzy Fund or maybe my own local animal welfare shelter. However, I WILL CHECK OUT the organization and if I find out it is associated with H$U$ or PETA's principles/philosophy, in any way, shape, or form, the deal is off.

Don't forget the horses for sure. There are lots of horses around here. It's really expensive to just feed them.

Really a worry during hard times.

We don't have a Tazzy type thing here.

Tazzy needs a food supporter. Like Ellen she has her own pet food. Sign Ellen D. up.

Maybe a free plug.

I wish you all well with your efforts. But to be honest, what about all the homeless children and adults who are American living on the streets of our country without food too? Humans are animals also.

May ALL beings be happy. May ALL beings have food and shelter and love.

You're on! I just donated $25 to Tazzy Fund. Leilani is a great lady and I'm always happy to help out animals. I'd have done the $50 but I'm a little low on funds and rent is around the corner. Sorry. Frown

Done! Signed, sealed, and delivered. Smile

I donated $25.00 to match your contribution. I already took up Refugees challenge earlier for $25.00 in the "It's the little things that annoy you" thread. So, that makes a total of $50 for me. Smile

I totaled it up. Hopi costs me about $20 a month plus at least another $10 in dog treats. Not to mention CA sales tax (thanks to the gubernator). She's an adopted pound dog. From a shelter that does KILL them if they haven't found a good home.

All I can do. Don't feel guilty at all. Done my part. Being a single disabled person. And she being my legally signed "service animal".

But I still have to raise the question. Is is cruelty to animals to let humans live on our streets without food and health care in this country? Or in the entire world for that matter?

We're talking "challenges" right?

Now, we challenge others to match our contribution, up to $50.00. Smile

I already have. In February. Some of don't feel the need to toot our own horns every time we donate to a charity. Every year I donate what I can to the ASPCA and a few local animal organizations, like the Wildlife Refuge Facility and the university.

And, so you came in here for no other reason than to tell us about the charitable organizations to which you contributed, this year, speaking of tooting your own horn?

And, owv came in to talk about how much her "service" animal costs her, that she supports shelters that KILL animals, and to complain about the homeless people?

This is a challenge! Naturally, people need to know who is contributing what, in order to take up the challenge. That's how a challenge works! DUH!

Take some of that undeserved "spread the wealth" money you're going to get from BamBam and put it towards the charities of your choice.

owv can forego a Tom Petty concert and save the homeless.

Now, both of you, fuck off and go play in the traffic.

How many times have talked about the money I contribute to various charities? Rarely.

I don't brag about the money I donate just to win favor with others. I think that's what you're doing.

This is a challenge and that's how it works. I didn't start this thread to talk about the charities to which I contribute. Now, fuck off and go play in the traffic. The roadways and highways should have lots of traffic, right about now.

All of the charities listed are worthy. I just want to say that because - there are homeless people in the U.S. There are - especially in California because of the wild fires - SO many displaced animals. There are foster children. There are families who's spouses are fighting for our freedom - and they have to go to food pantries to get their food (I think that's abominable). There are places outside the U.S., like Africa where children are literally dying of starvation with bloated little bellies - children are sold into slavery and prostitution. There are plenty of places for people to donate money and ALL of them are necessary.

Witilinki - I think what you're doing is very cool. I think anyone who takes wit up on the challenge - very cool. If you donate to something else - very cool.

I just wanted to say that.

Call me skeptical, but I just question his motives. Witilinki has repeatedly shown his disdain towards animals and those who love and respect them on this board. So, I question his true intention for this "challenge." I think his real motive is to seek attention...favorable attention over the usual UNfavorable attention he regularly receives.

And there's no proof he's really following through with this.

Show me where I showed disdain for animals. Are you still harping about the joke I made about the nice thing about having a rabbit for a pet is you can have rabbit stew when it dies? Give it a rest!

And, unlike yourself, my integrity is in tact. I'm certain Refugee and Petty Bitch believe me when I say I made the donations. And, I wouldn't destroy my integrity in the eyes of the Tazzy Fund by saying something that wasn't true.

Actions speak louder than words.

(especially where you are concerned)

I don't think so. You go out of your way to hurt people. That's not integrity.
